POSITIONING AND STANDARDS
Single-player AI
AI built for one person at a time: one login, one history, one memory.
Definition
AI tools built for one person at a time: one login, one chat history, one memory, all belonging to whoever signed up. The tool answers to its user, not to the business the user works in.
Why it exists
It names the most common way AI enters a company - and the reason that path fails. A business needs shared memory, shared rules and shared goals; single-player tools have none of the three. The term carries no blame: single-player AI is the right tool for a single player.
Example
A director drafts client contracts in a personal chatbot account for a year. She leaves. The prompts, the history and the judgement encoded in them leave with her.
